Nadira arrested, Police confiscate her bag
Two others arrested

Former Council Member of Progressive Party of the Maldives (PPM) Aminath Nadira was arrested in the early hours of Sunday.

She was arrested near Salsa Royal Restaurant along with two other protesters who were gathered there.

RaajjeTV reporter stationed there said that the officers came straight at Nadira with the intention of arresting her. She had attempted to hand over her handbag to another individual and that Police had attempted to confiscate that as well.

Police had also used pepper sprayed Vilingili Constituency MP Saud Hussain and Central Henveyru Constituency MP Ali Azim.

Protesters had gathered near the area to protest the delay in implementing Supreme Court ruling.
