The parliament sitting on Monday has been cancelled citing security concerns.
The first parliament sitting of the first session of the year was to be held at event hall Dharubaaruge.
While the parliament administration has confirmed the cancellation, Parliament Secretariat Ahmed Mohamed earlier on Saturday said the sitting would be held along with the presidential address.
Mohamed also said that the recent Supreme Court order to reinstate 12 opposition MPs was valid, and that therefore they were allowed to conduct their parliamentary duties.
