State Minister at Home Ministry Shifaq Mufeed (Histo) says that Maldives Police Service will not allow individuals to abuse the right to freedom of travel, to hold gatherings in any area.

In a tweet posted on Friday, Shifaq said the state will not hamper on the right to travel anywhere in the country, but will not allow anyone to abuse this right.

The tweet came following the decree passed by Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) National Congress held on Friday evening.
