British Ambassador James Dauris has said that the Supreme Court order to release political prisoners will be widely welcomed in Maldives.
In a tweet on Friday, Ambassador Dauris said the order reasserts the independence of the judiciary.
“Friends around the international community will be hoping that the government complies with the Court’s ruling quickly and unconditionally.”
