The Supreme Court has ruled on Thursday that its bench of justices is exempt from the authority of the judicial oversight body, the Judicial Services Commission.
The ruling states that the Judicial Services Commission, despite having the statutory right to oversee cases involving the judiciary and its personnel can no longer do so with those involving the apex court bench.
This follows several contentious ones on Thursday night, including that to repeal the criminal sentences made against several prominent figures in the local political sphere.
