Dhangethi Constituency MP Ilham Ahmed says that he will return back to the Maldives as soon as possible and will respond to the summons issued on him.
In a tweet posted, the Parliamentarian said that two officers of Maldives Police Service (MPS) were posted outside his residence, fully well knowing that he was abroad, and even had attempted to meet his wife on Wednesday.
However, MP Ilham said that his wife was not at home either. However, he added that the officers had interrogated his sibling.
The Parliamentarian said that he will return back to the Maldives at the earliest and answer the summons.
MPs Ilham and Sinan were issued summons to present themselves at MPS within a period of 14 days. The duo had been warned that failing to answer the said summons will result in MPS taking legal action.
