A court hearing has been scheduled for jailed former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb’s alleged bribery of police intelligence officers.
The hearing is to be held at the Criminal Court on Tuesday at 11:00am.
Adeeb is alleged to have bribed two police officers working at the intelligence department for information, during his time as vice president of the current administration.
The state has also charged Adeeb with influencing official duties.
If found guilty of bribery, he faces an additional three years, two months, and 12 days in prison.
Adeeb is already prison serving sentences totaling 33 years.
