AP leader Imran will not make any deals with government: Ali Zahir

Ali Zahir, the opposition Adhaalath Party’s deputy leader, has attested to the integrity of the party’s leader Sheikh Imran Abdulla.

Zahir said while speaking at a special event held at Kunooz to mark 1,000 days since Imran was incarcerated on terror allegations described heavily as being politicized.

Zahir said that Imran has shown tremendous courage, when he had his freedom and now that he is incarcerated as well.

“His unshakable resolve is proof of this. Even today, even after a thousand days in prison, he is committed to the reform efforts” Zahir said.

Zahir went on to say that the party leader’s resolve and perseverance is a point of pride to the Adhaalath Party, and should be to supporters of it and other opposition parties.

The deputy leader, who is also a lawyer involved with many prominent cases, said that the opposition’s efforts have held the government back.
