Ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has begun training sessions ahead of this year’s presidential election.

A special training session for PPM members in Malé was held at event hall Dharubaaruge on Monday night, in which some cabinet members and ruling party MPs joined.

In a tweet, the party’s PG leader Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik said the training sessions for President Abdulla Yameen’s 2018 election campaign is mainly for agents in the Malé block.

It is noted that opposition parties have been barred from using Dharubaaruge.
