Staff of Villa resorts protesting
Staff from Sun Island, Holiday Island, Royal Island and Fun Island Resorts protested on Monday, displaying anti-Government placards.
Villa Group General Manager Qaisar Naseem said that the Government wished to completely shut down Villa resorts. He said this was the only explanation as the Government had confiscated legally imported alcohol.
The confiscation is described by the Group and their lawyers as theft by extortion.
