Yameen Idress, Managing Director of Maldives Hajj Corporation, was dismissed on Thursday.
Company board member Farhad Daood has also been dismissed, said the Privatization Board.
Privatization Board Director Mohamed Nizar told RaajjeMV their dismissal was meant to further improve Hajj Corporation, and that new people will be appointed on Sunday.
This comes at a time when members of President Abdulla Yameen’s presidential campaign team are reportedly vying for various government positions.
