The senior student attacked while at his school on Tuesday afternoon, has had the wounds he sustained treated and been released.

The state-run Thaajuddeen School student had sustained some injuries to his head, but remains unharmed anywhere else. He was treated at the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.

The attack was reported to the police at about 12:36 PM, and the assailants have been apprehended.

Assailants had reportedly walked in along with a parents that were there at the end of the school’s morning session and proceeded to carry out the attack.

After having done so, they attempted to escape but was held back by parents there as school staff phoned authorities.
