Ahmed Azeem has been appointed as the Managing Director of Aasandha Company – the government health insurance provider.
Azeem, who had previously served as the company's Assistant General Manager, was appointed as MD on Tuesday, confirms the privatization board – which holds the power to appoint and dismiss board members of government-owned companies.
Hassan Ali, the previous MD, was dismissed on government request, said the board.
President Abdulla Yameen appointed Ali as the senior policy executive at the education ministry, less than 24 hours of his dismissal.
