New Radiant Sports Club (NRSC) forward Ali Fasir has won the Best Player award of the Maldives Football Awards for the second year running.

The Awards, held in collaboration between Football Association of Maldives (FAM) and Maldives Football, was held on Saturday night.

While Fasir won the best player award, he had won the Golden Boot award, also for the second year running. He had scored 24 goals in the season and played a pivotal role in the three awards NRSC won this season.

His Coach Oscar Bruzon won the Best Coach award, having won President’s Cup, FA Cup and the Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League. Adrian Gallado of NRSC won the Best Foreign Player of the season.

TC Sports Club’s forward Ibrahim Mahdhee Hussain won the newly introduced ‘Jooley Award’ for the best goal of the season. Hussain scored 17 goals this season and claimed a spot on the national team as well.

New Radiant’s goalie Imran Mohamed won the Best Goal Keeper Award, with TC’s Naaiz Hassan winning the award for the Most Promising Player. Alif Alif Maalhos team won the Supporter’s Award.

Former Barcelona and Spanish defender Carlos Puyol was the guest of honor at the awards.
