Civil Court orders two companies to pay MVR 1.9 million to MIRA
The Civil Court passed this verdict on TLM Pvt Ltd and Azimuth Pvt Ltd
Both companies have been ordered to make the payments in full within a period of two months

Two privately owned companies have been ordered to pay a total of MVR 1.9 million to the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA).

The Civil Court passed this verdict on TLM Pvt Ltd and Azimuth Pvt Ltd, with the former having to pay nearly MVR 1.5 million by itself.

TLM Pvt Ltd was ordered to compensate for unpaid Tourism-Goods and Services Taxes of up to 1.5 million and additional fines of about 43,000.

Azimath Pvt Ltd was found to have pending fines of MVR 40,957 owed to the state.

Both companies have been ordered to make the payments in full within a period of two months after December 14th.
