The packets confiscated from the 24-yo individual
Police have arrested a man in Dhaandhoo island of Gaafu Alif Atoll, who had reportedly been seized with thirty packets of what officers described to be narcotic substances.
Dhaandhoo island’s local government council said that the individual arrested is 24-years-old.
He was arrested while aboard a vessel travelling from Thinadhoo island in the same atoll.
He was arrested after officers spotted him discarding a ‘packet wrapped in tape’ upon sighting them. Officers had searched the packet to find about thirty smaller ones inside.
