Hassan Ali, the recently dismissed Managing Director of Aasandha Company, has been appointed to a position at the education ministry.

He was dismissed as MD on Tuesday on the request of the government, said the privatization board – which has the power to appoint and dismiss board members of government companies.

President Abdulla Yameen appointed him as the senior policy executive at the education ministry, less than 24 hours of his dismissal.

Hassan Ali was appointed as MD of the government health insurance provider on May 25.

He had previously worked as the immigration controller, high court court registrar, and the deputy minister of the housing ministry.
