Employment Tribunal says it cannot adjudicate on Permanent Secretary Sinan's dismissal
Sinan was dismissed following the commission’s release of a circular on the productivity and performance of its officials
The Employment Tribunal’s decision is validated by the Employment Act

The Employment Tribunal has said that it cannot preside over Hussein Sinan’s case regarding his dismissal from the Fisheries Ministry.

Sinan, who was the ministry’s permanent secretary, was dismissed from his position as the highest Civil Service Commission official at the ministry on 29th November.

He was dismissed following the commission’s release of a circular on the productivity and performance of its officials.

The case was filed at the tribunal shortly after his dismissal and it refused to oversee the case on the grounds that the tribunal cannot adjudicate on cases involving high-ranking officials of the commission.

The Employment Tribunal’s decision is validated by the Employment Act.
