Hassan Ali has been dismissed from his position as the Managing Director of government health insurance provider, Aasandha Company.
The privatization board said the government had requested his dismissal.
Mr Ali was appointed to the post on May 25 after then-MD Maumoon Abdul Sattar was transferred to the housing ministry.
He had previously worked as the immigration controller, high court court registrar, and the deputy minister of the housing ministry.
