Fathimath Nabeeha and Fathimath Nabaha have won silver medals for women’s doubles event held by Badminton Asia’s U-21 tournament.

The siblings had paired up for their match against an Indian pair, but lost with a score of 21-7 and 21-10. However, they went on to the finals after having defeated a Bangladeshi pair with a score of 21-14 and 21-15.

Both Nabeeha and Nabaha are part of the training program being conducted in Tokyo for the 2020 Olympics.

The Badminton Association of Maldives said that they are working to ensure that these promising players get as many opportunities as possible.

Maldives’ Nafha Nasir, Mohamed Arsalaan, Mohamed Aakif, and Shaulaan Fatheeh, had all played in the semi-finals for different events under the tournament.
