Police maintains silence over MBC president Shaheeb
The case was reportedly filed on September 12th

The incident involves an officer of the police having chased Shaheeb with a pair of scissors

The police have said on Monday that they do not have anything to say on allegations made against the Maldives Broadcasting Commission’s president Mohamed Shaheeb assaulting an officer.

The case was filed with the police by the officer on September 12th, and Shaheeb himself had a filed a case of his own regarding the matter.

A reported witness of the incident said Shaheeb had visited house in Henveiru of capital city Malé. He had entered before promptly exiting in haste, along with a man who chased him with a pair of scissors.

The man in possession of said pair of scissors is an officer with the police’s special operations unit.

Shaheeb had not answered calls at the time of publishing.
