Minor arrested in Tuesday’s stabbing released

Juvenile Court has released the minor arrested in connection to Tuesday evening’s stabbing in capital Male’ city.

Police media official confirmed that 10 days was set as remand for those arrested in connection to the case and the minor was released when produced as Juvenile Court for his remand.

Reliable sources reported to RaajjeMV the minor is an 18-year old.

Two individuals, a 20-year-old and 21-year-old, were stabbed on Fareedhee Magu on Tuesday evening, and were rushed to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for treatment immediately.

While police did not reveal the number of people arrested over the violence, or the number arrested, RaajjeMV understands that at least six suspects were taken into custody.

The arrests were made later in the night, after a raid at Seenu-Asurumaage in the Maafannu ward of the city.
