Police have announced a search for a man who defrauded another and used their bank card withdraw money.

The Maldives Police Service has asked the public to relay any information they have on the suspect, to either their primary hotline or their General Investigation Unit.

However, officers have not revealed the name of the individual and video footage publicized by the police shows the suspect taking out a bank card – that officers claim does not belong to him – and withdraw an undisclosed amount from another's account.
