Oman has defeated Maldives in their match at the national stadium on Tuesday, with a score of 3 -1.

The match began with both teams displaying a strong game, and the Maldivian team had made the first attempt at scoring.

However, Oman’s 23-year-old forward Khalid Al-Harji had scored the first goal for his team, with a shot from inside Maldives’ penalty area.

The Omani team had made more advances on the Maldivian goal after, with midfielder Jameel Al-Yahmadi scoring another goal on the 22nd minute of the match.

Maldives scored their first and only goal in the match about two minutes after, midfielder Ali Fasir, who had also produced the first attempt at scoring early on in the game, managed to make his strike meet the net.

The first half of Tuesday night’s game ended with a score of 2-1.

While the Maldivian team had had to gear up their defence in the second half, Oman kept the players pinned. Midfielder Ahmed Mubarak Al-Mahaijri scored his team’s last goal on the 57th minute of the match.

Maldives loss in the Asian Cup Qualifying match means they are in the third group with three points, while Oman has two and is in the second group.
