Parts of capital city Malé have experienced a power outage on Saturday, reportedly caused by a generator failure.

The State Electricity Company (STELCO) announced that it is working to resolve the issue.

An official form the company said that the repairment process may result in sporadic outages in various part of the capital city.

A technical officer had revealed that the power outage was caused specifically by a feeder line connected to the generator.

On Friday, nearly the entirety of Malé City had experienced a power outage that lasted several hours.
