The Criminal Court has cancelled its hearing over the terror allegations against MP Ibrahim Mohamed Didi.

The hearing was scheduled for 14:00 on Monday. MP Didi, who represents the Hithadhoo constituency, is being accused of unlawfully detaining Judge Abdulla Mohamed.

In 2015, the Prosecutor General withdrew terrorism charges against the MP. However, the office had renewed allegations against the opposition aligned parliamentarian.

The renewal of charges came after the opposition filed a no-confidence motion against parliament speaker Abdulla Maseeh.
