The newly completed infrastructure projects of Angolhitheemu Island in Raa Atoll have been inaugurated.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih celebrated the completion of several newly completed infrastructure projects initiated by his administration, in the island on Tuesday, as part of his tour of the atoll.

The President inaugurated the completion of the harbor development project, the new Fenaka Office, the new extension building of the Healthcare Center and the laboratory.

These projects represent a significant step in developing the island's infrastructure.

The harbor upgrading project of Angolhitheemu Island was completed by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). The project entailed a range of significant improvements, including the dredging of the harbor basin and channel, the construction of the breakwater and quay wall, the installation of portlights, and the construction of the pavement.

The newly developed healthcare center extension of the island features a range of state-of-the-art facilities, including an administrative area for managing healthcare employees, a public health unit providing preventative and promotional health services, and compressor and storage rooms.

Additionally, the newly opened Fenaka office, strategically situated on the island, is a spacious and modern facility with space for 30 employees.

The newly inaugurated projects will significantly benefit its residents.

Under President Solih's leadership, the administration has achieved significant strides towards equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. This includes enhancing the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives. During his visits to various islands, President Solih is officially inaugurating the completion of numerous projects and services.
