MP Ahmed Faris Maumoon, Parliamentarian for Dhiggaru Constituency, has been arrested.
His arrest came following a search of his apartment on Tuesday morning.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) has confirmed the arrest, stating that MP Faris was arrested as part of their ongoing investigation.
