The Al-Ain Hajj and Umra Group has awarded an expenses-covered pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia for an employee at Raajje Television.

Hussein Rasheed, the Umra Group's Managing Director, said at an event held at the station that Al-Ain would award Umrah trips to two Raajje Television employees every year.

“RaajjeTV has a special place in our hearts. We recognize the importance of independent journalism and the station has always stood for this” Rasheed said.

The first of these pilgrimages was awarded to the station's Executive Director Naazmee Saeed.
