The newly appointed Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to the Republic of Maldives, Abdalla Omer Bashir Elhusain has called on the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Khaleel.
The meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Monday.
At the meeting, State Minister Khaleel welcomed Ambassador and congratulated him on presenting credentials as the Non-Resident Ambassador of Sudan to Maldives.
State Minister Khaleel and Ambassador Elhusain exchanged ideas to further strengthen the bilateral ties and cooperation between Maldives and Sudan in areas of mutual interest.
Ambassador Elhusain assured of his commitment to work with the Government of Maldives in order to expand the bilateral partnership between the two countries.
State Minister Khaleel was accompanied by Foreign Secretary Ahmed Latheef, Secretary Bilateral Dr. Hala Hameed; Additional Secretary Ibrahim Uvais and Director Ahmed Fazeel.
