Raajje Online (ROL) says the internet services provided by the company will improve in the course of 24-hours.
The service has been affected from 6th June onward, due to damages to submarine cables. Due to the damages, IP traffic between India and Maldives had completely severed.
A statement released by the company on Saturday said the repairs were progressing ahead in spite of challenges. It also said Reliance India had not given an exact time when the repairs will be finalized.
ROL added that based on the speed of repairs they were trying to route part of the IP traffic via Sri Lanka, which will see an improvement to service in the coming 24 hours. ROL stated that they had in the meantime created an IP backup via Dhiraagu. However, the company said this was just a temporary solution and will not guarantee full service.
ROL thanked Dhiraagu for their assistance in resolving the issue, noting Dhiraagu had dispatched their technical teams and had provided equipment and testing services.
