Police have found the phone belonging to Corporal Mohamed Sumaidh, who has been missing after the dinghy boat he was on capsized on Sunday night. 

The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) had dispatched its helicopter in search of him at around 07:30 am. 

The Maldives national Defence Force (MNDF) stated that the incident, where a dinghy on a fishing venture had capsized near Addu City, was reported to them at around 08:30 that night.

There were three Maldivians onboard, two of whom had managed to swim to the nearby Shangri-La Island Resort.
