Seas are expected to be generally rough in central and northern atolls
The Maldives Meteorological Services has said issued a white alert for islands between Haa Alifu and Thaa atolls.
The MET office said that these regions would experience heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds.
The office estimates that winds would gust at 15 – 23 miles per hour in central and northern atolls and 7 – 17 miles per hour elsewhere.
Seas are expected to be generally rough in central and northern atolls.
