The man had been driving when he stopped near Jamaaludheen School in Mahchangoalhi of Malé, when he came to abrupt stopped and exited the vehicle before collapsing.
Pedestrians and passersby had taken the man to the hospital.
The incident had occurred at around 7:00 pm.
