A foreigner was pronounced dead after he was found on the road in capital Malé City.
The man was found in the Maafannu ward of the city on Sunday night.
Media officer at the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), Ibrahim Azim said that doctors had pronounced him dead on arrival at the hospital.
While there are reports that the man had complained of chest pains, Azim did not reveal any further details. However, he said that police is working to identify the man.
