Parked van in Gan, Laamu, catches fire
A vehicle parked on the beachside of Gan, Laamu, has caught fire.
Media official at the Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that they got the report of the fire on Tuesday night and that officers of the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF)’s central area fire and rescue services had been dispatched to the scene immediately.
Fire fighters were able to quell the fire close to 10pm, revealed the media official.
Although no injuries were reported following the fire, RaajjeMV understands that the van was left damaged.
The fire was reported a little after 9pm on Tuesday.
Although the cause of the fire has not yet been revealed, RaajjeMV understands that MPS is investigating the case further.
