Cricket veterans depart to Fuvahmulah for special matches

A team of veterans from the nation’s cricketing field have departed to Fuvahmulah for a series of special matches.

The 29-member team departed on Thursday.

Cricket Board of Maldives President Mohamed Aflah said that team is comprised of individuals who had played for 10 or 15 years to the national team. He added that the team was in Fuvahmulah as the island had a thriving cricket community.

The team will play three matches in the island. The veteran’s team will face a select team from the island.

The team will return back to the island on the 29th of this month.
