The Football Association of Maldives (FAM) has enlisted the State Trading Organization (STO) to sponsor the ongoing Minivan Championship, and the Malé League.
The agreement was signed on Wednesday evening at the FAM’s head offices.
STO’s Managing Director Ahmed Shaheer and FAM’s president Bassam Adeel Jaleel had signed the agreement.
The FAM has promised to attain financial aid for the teams that qualify for the Dhivehi League, while it had awarded contracts to some of the teams in the first division.
Bassam Adeel has pledged to provide MVR 1.5 million to each team that qualifies for the Dhivehi League from the Minivan Championship.
