Champions of I-League 2016, Bengaluru Football Club has arrived in Maldives, ahead of their match against Maziya Sports Club in the AFC Cup 2017.
The team arrived on Sunday night.
The team lost its last match, against Mohun Bagan, in the I-League on Saturday. Mohun Bagan is also in the same group as Maziya and Bengaluru in the AFC Cup, as well Bangladesh’s Abahani.
The Bengaluru versus Maziya game is scheduled for Tuesday evening, at the Galolhu National Stadium in the capital Malé City.
The match is an important one for both teams, as the winning team will take the top spot in Group E. They are currently tied, in respect to points in the table.
Begaluru Football Club is the champion team of I-League 2016, as well runner-up of AFC Cup 2016.
The last time the two teams clashed was in 2015, with Maziya losing both home and away matches 2-1.
