Making history, TC Sports Club heads to the finals of the Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup 2017, after beating Nepal's Manang Marshyangdi on Monday.
With this accomplishment, TC has become the first ever Maldivian team to advance to the finals of an international tournament.
It was a slow start for both teams, with the first half ending 0-0, despite both teams getting a number of opportunities to score .
The second half started competitively, with both teams looking for opportunities to take lead.
The only goal of the game came at the 82nd minute, with a goal by TC's Ali "Kalhey" Nafiu as Manang's goalkeeper lost control of the ball near the goal post.
Afterwards, TC played a slow game, taking ther time in passing.
The second semi-final of the tournament is to be held on Tuesday, to decide on who will play against TC in the finals.
A total of six countries are competing in this year’s Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup 2017.
The annual tournament is being held in Bangladesh this year.
