Green Street FC beat football giants Victory Sports Club, 1-0, on Saturday night, in their very first match ever, in the Male’ League.
The team came out strong from the beginning, continuously sending attacks from the Victory’s side.
The only goal of the match was scored by Green Street’s Ahmed “Ammadey” Rasheed, in the 22nd minute of the game.
Both teams played equally in the second half, and Victory got a number of opportunities to equalize the game.
With this result, Green Street wins three points in the Male’ League. Team’s head coach, Sobah Mohamed had said that the target was to “at least get a point” in the match against Victory.
Sobah had warned that his team “will not be an easy team to beat.”
