A young woman from Th. Guraidhoo has been saved from drifting off on an inflatable sea bed.
In a tweet on Friday, the police stated that after receiving the report at 10:15am, a speedboat was dispatched to rescue the 19-year-old.

She was not injured in the incident.
The police media officer stated that they received the report from other swimmers in the area.
There has been an increase of incidents at sea with the most common being tourist drownings. The authorities are also searching for a young Maldivian woman who went missing at sea in February.
