Maldives Police Service has arrested a 23-year-old man in relation to a drug-smuggling case.
Officers of the MPS had conducted an operation following an intelligence report that attempts were being carried out to smuggle narcotics into a resort in Baa atoll, following which they had arrested the 23-year-old on the 26th of September.
The man was seized with three sachets of cellophane suspected to contain narcotic substances.
RaajjeMV understands that the Eydhafushi Police Station has taken on the case and investigations are underway, with the court having remanded the arrestee by seven days.
