Faisal Naseem, Joint Opposition coalition’s vice-presidential candidate for the upcoming September Election has pledged to establish rehabilitation centers all across the nation and operate it with efficiency during Presidential candidate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s tenure.
Speaking after concluding his door-to-door campaign in capital city Male’, Naseem stated that the biggest concern for residents in Male’ is that there is no security or peace in the city any longer.
Highlighting that citizens need assurance of security in the capital, Naseem said that a unity government led by the Joint Opposition coalition will ensure that more rehabilitation centers are established across the nation in order to rehabilitate the youths who get drawn into the influence of narcotics.
“A lot of people believe that there is negligence from a majority of bodies, in providing an adequate environment for youth to socialize. We pledge to establish more rehabilitation centers across the nation and to operate them efficiently. We will do our best to lead the youth who have gone astray, to the correct path. We will do our best to bring out the best from the youth who do not know the talents they have” said Naseem.
Naseem further stated that the citizens incessantly remind the police force to carry out their responsibilities, saying that they have been tasked with the vital responsibility to take care of the citizens. The opposition vice-presidential candidate further said that police institutions must not allow politics to influence them.
Naseem and team had conducted door-to-door campaigns in south ward of Galolhu, south ward of Mahchangoalhi as well as mid Maafannu on Wednesday afternoon. Member of Parliament MP for north-Galolhu constituency Eva Abdulla had joined the opposition vice-presidential candidate during this door-to-door campaign activity.
