Elections Commission has opened job opportunity for people interested in officiating the upcoming Local Council Election.
The commission made the announcement on Monday, in which it said the commission was looking for officials to operate in polling stations in inhabited islands of Maldives, resorts, industrial zones, prisons and abroad.
Elections Commission has instructed interested parties who fit the criteria to submit online application forms via http://forms.election.gov.mv by 4 pm on January 28, 2017.
The announcement further said that those in the atolls unable to submit application forms online can submit their application forms to city or island councils.
Local Council Election was initially scheduled to be held on January 14, but was postponed by order of Civil Court.
Elections Commission later announced the postponed election will be held on April 8, 2017.
