Maldives Basketball Association (MBA) has released its calendar for 2017, which includes an invitational competition.
While a number of competitions have been scheduled for the year, an invitational basketball competition has been set for November.
The competition has been temporarily named “Ameen Didi Invitational Basketball Tournament,” and will include clubs from neighboring countries. It is to be held from November 12 to November 17.
The Association informs that the name of the competition “has not been finalized.”
The same competition was included in last year’s calendar as well, but had to be cancelled due to issues.
However, MBA assures that they will be able to hold the competition this year.
This year’s basketball season is set to kick off on February 3, with an exhibition match, which is to be followed by MBA Cup Basket Tournament.
MBA Cup Basket Tournament is to be held from February 5 to February 27.
All basketball tournaments are to be held in the Social Center and the outdoor court of the Male’ Sports Complex.
