Maldives team New Radiant Sports Club has flown to Bangalore to play a match in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup against India's Bengaluru FC.
While New Radiant had flown to India, most believe that this match between Maldives team and India team will be a crucial one.
In the first match New Radiant played in the AFC Cup, it beat Bangladesh Team Abahani Dhaka with a score of 1-0.
In it's second match Maldives had beaten India's Aizawl FC 3-1 with a hatrick by forward Ali Ashfag, the strongest player of the team.
Bangalore team beat Abahani Dhaka on it's own field 1-0 and Aizawl FC with a score of 3-1.
Speaking to the media, New Radiant's coach Óscar Bruzón said that both teams are tied on the scoreboard and that the team will put in its best efforts to win the upcoming match against Bengaluru FC.
Óscar noted that New Radiant had won a sequence of 22 matches and that he has full confidence that his team will bring home a win in this match as well.
New Radiant's Vice Captian Akram Abdul Ghani said that they will compete against Bengaluru FC to win and that their focus is to win a point at least, adding that the team will train till the last minute to win the upcoming match which will ensure them a spot at the top of the table.
Akram highlighted that while other teams have yet been unable to beat Bengaluru FC, New Radiant will hopefully bring a change by winning this match.
The match against Bengaluru FC and New Radiant is scheduled for Tuesday night.
