Ooredoo Maldives last week received awards for two categories at this year’s Stevie Awards, held in last week in Spain.
The company won the award for being the ‘Most Innovative Company of the Year’ and its payment software, the ‘m-Faisaa’ was awarded ‘Best New Service of the Year’, given to payment solutions.
Ooredoo Maldives’ CEO Najib Khan said it was an honour to be recognized for innovation, which he said was at the heart of what the company intends.
“Kudos to our incredible team who are the true leaders of our innovative growth. Be it introducing new technologies and services to the Maldives, or completing our 4G+ network expansion in just 17 days, the team continues to go the extra mile in order to bring new and life enriching opportunities to the communities around us” Najib Khan also said.
The 2017 Stevie Awards were held in Barcelona of Spain on October 21st, where over 200 executives selected winners amongst nearly 4,000 categories from over 60 nations.
Last month, Ooredoo Maldives introduced the Ooredoo Next, which it said would be a ‘revolutionary’ digital program.
