Green Street moves up to the top of the table after beating Thinadhoo 2-1 on Friday night.
It was a slow start for both teams as they failed to create any opportunities to score a goal in the beginning of the game.
However, Green Street took the lead at the 35th minute, with a goal from Illia Sobol. The first half ended 1-0, with Green Street in the lead.
Seconds after the second half started, Thinadhoo's Alexander equalized the game.
Green Street took back the lead in the 85th minute, with a goal by newbie defender Shafiu Ahmed.
Speaking to RaajjeMV after the match, Green Street's head coach Mohamed Sobah said that he is "proud" of the strength and determination showed by the players, adding that he was "very happy" that they were able to achieve their target, which was to attain three points in the game.
With this win, Green Street has a total of six points, and lands on top of the Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League table.
