One of the two missing Maldivian pilgrims has been found.

Speaking to RaajjeMV on Sunday, senior editor at 'Mihaaru' Ahmed Abdulla Saeed, who is currently in Mina with the pilgrims, said that one of the pilgrims, 63-year-old Ameena Hassan from Noonu Velidhoo was found near Kuwait Masjid late Saturday night.

Noting that another individual, a male native to Naifaru island of Lhaviyani atoll, is still missing, Saeed revealed that the Saudi government has been notified of the matter.

RaajjeMV understands that both individuals had travelled to Saudi Arabia with the state run operator, Maldives Hajj Corporation.

It was reported earlier that around 50 Maldivian pilgrims, all belonging to the Hajj Corporation, were stranded on Arafat plain, after missing their bus.

While 1,300 Maldivians traveled to Mecca, Saudi Arabia to take part in the annual Hajj pilgrimage, most of them belonged to Hajj Corporation.

RaajjeMV was unable get a comment from Hajj Corporation at the time of publishing, but would like to point out that its official twitter account has been active.

According to its twitter account, the pilgrims are currently in Jamarat, for the symbolic stoning of the devil.
